According to People, she helped raise more than $2 billion for nonprofits, many of which focused on climate change, education, and healthcare. Some of the organizations she supported include the British Red Cross and The Disaster Emergency Committee, amongst others.
Queen Elizabeth ll Cared About Helping the Planet
Another thing that Queen Elizabeth ll cared about was helping the planet. According to One Green Planet, throughout the Queen’s reign, she planted many commemorative trees, started the Green Canopy Project and starred in a documentary that stressed the importance of saving the forests. Her efforts to help protect our beautiful Earth can be felt today and will continue to be felt for years to come.

Last but certainly not least, Queen Elizabeth ll was an advocate for animals. Throughout her 70-year reign, she had many dogs and loved every moment she spent with them. Some notable things that she did to advocate for animals around the world include that she stopped wearing real fur clothing, took over as president of the Animal Health Trust, and brought awareness to The Battersea Dogs and Cats Home.
