It’s finally June which means that it’s time to celebrate Pride Month! Swift fully supports the LGBTQ+ community, and we’re so excited to embrace everything that Pride Month has to offer. This year, to get the fun started, we wanted to share some of the best travel destinations to celebrate Pride Month. Not only do these places welcome members of the LGBTQ+ community with open arms, but they’re also home to some unique events that honor and celebrate pride.
From Nashville Pride in Nashville, Tennessee, to Wynwood Pride in Miami, Florida, and more – here are some of the best gay-friendly travel destinations and best pride celebrations for Pride Month in 2022:
New York, New York
Event: NYC Pride March
Date: June 26, 2022
This year marks the 53rd NYC Pride March in New York, New York. This event brings in thousands of participants each year and is incredibly inspiring. During the NYC Pride March, you’ll want to dress in your best pride attire and get ready to walk the streets of New York in support of the LGBTQ+ community. The NYC Pride March is free to walk in and will be led by some famous faces of the LGBTQ+ community.

Chicago, Illinois
Event: Chicago Pride Fest
Dates: June 18-19, 2022
Chicago Pride Fest is one of the largest celebrations of the LGBTQ+ community in the United States and is one of the best pride events in the world. Tens of thousands of people gather each year at the event and participate in fun activities that honor Pride Month. Some of the cool things that you can do while at the event include listening to live music, watching drag shows, playing games, entering fun giveaways, and so much more. The event is free, but there is a suggested $15 donation for admission that goes towards running the event and helps fund community programs.

Miami, Florida
Event: Wynwood Pride
Dates: June 10-12, 2022
Wynwood Pride in Miami, Florida, is one of our favorite pride events for 2022 that celebrates the LGBTQ+ community. Here, you can listen to great live music, watch drag shows, sample some delicious eats, and dance the night away with other LGBTQ+ supporters. Not only is this event full of incredible things to do and see, but a significant amount of the profits made from the event go towards a non-profit organization each year.

Nashville, Tennessee
Event: Nashville Pride Festival
Dates: June 25-26, 2022
One of the gay pride events that we love is the Nashville Pride Festival. During the event, you can walk in one of the best pride parades in the U.S. (which is also one of the largest pride parades in the world), watch some of the 250+ acts (which include some pretty incredible headliners), shop around at the vendor market, play carnival games at the kids and family zone, and even participate in a local community art project. Let’s just say that you’re sure to have an incredible time while at the Nashville Pride Festival.

Los Angeles, California
Event: LA Pride in the Park
Date: June 11, 2022
LA Pride in the Park is one event you won’t want to miss. While attending this fun in the sun festival, you can expect a day full of music and plenty of great activities. Listen to superstar headliners perform, sample delicious drinks at one of the many beer gardens, and enjoy celebrating Pride Month amongst 25,000 attendees.

Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania
Event: Pride on the Shore
Date: June 3, 2022
The final event that you should check out during Pride Month is Pride on the Shore. Pride on the Shore is a one-day festival like no other and is full of fun things to see and do. You’ll get to witness performances by some incredible musicians, DJs, and drag queens, all while enjoying the charm of Pittsburgh around you. The best part? A portion of the proceeds from the event will benefit some local charities.
