Notes About Argentina Visas For U.S. Passport Holders
The Argentine government has said that they will no longer collect a reciprocity fee from U.S. Passport Holders visiting Argentina for less than 90 days. This applies to both business and tourist travelers. The change is meant to strengthen ties between our two countries. Swift is not yet sure if this is a permanent change,
Notes About Argentina Visas For Non U.S. Passport Holders
Cruise line passengers entering Argentina are exempt from paying the reciprocity fee.
A visa is not required for travel to Argentina for U.S. citizens, however you must pay a $160 reciprocity fee prior to traveling to Argentina. This is an online process that many people find frustrating that results in the Argentine government emailing you a receipt that you must present on arrival in Argentina. If you would like SPS to pay on your behalf and obtain this receipt for you, we can, however if you prefer to do this on your own, you can. We suggest starting by visiting the Argentine Consulate website to get started.
