Cameroon Embassy Information
Cameroon, officially known as the Republic of Cameroon, is located in Central Africa. It is bordered by Nigeria, Chad, Equatorial Guinea, the Central African Republic, Gabon and the Republic of the Congo. Cameroon also has a coastline along the Bight of Biafra, the Gulf of Guinea and the Atlantic Ocean. Positioned between West and Central Africa, it is often identified as both a West African and a Central African country. The country has a population of nearly 20 million people who speak more than 250 native languages. The official languages of the country are French and English and its motto is “Peace – Work – Fatherland.”
