Afghanistan Embassy Information
Afghanistan is officially known as the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan and is a landlocked country in Asia. Pakistan borders the country to the east and south and Iran borders Afghanistan to the west. It also borders Turkmenistan, Uzbekistan, Tajikistan, and China. The entire country occupies 652,000 square kilometers and has many mountains and plains. Kabul is the capital of Afghanistan and the entire country boasts 32 million people, made up of Pashtuns, Tajiks, Hazaras, and Uzbeks.
